Teaching of Religion in the Czech Education System and its Position in Society

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje výuce náboženství jako předmětu v českém školství, a také se zabývá tím, jak ji vnímá společnost. Stručně charakterizuje historii výuky náboženství od dob Ježíše Krista až do současnosti, dále se věnuje legislativě spojené s výukou náboženství, jak a jestli probíhá na státních a církevních školách. V práci je zmíněn i ekumenismus a výuka etiky. Věnována je spíše současnosti a současnému postavení výuky náboženství v České republice. Práce by měla přiblížit široké veřejnosti, co výuka náboženství obsahuje a zda je v dnešní době důležitá.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis focuses on teaching of religion as a single subject in the Czech education system and also deals with perception of the society to this topic. Concisely characterizes history of religious teaching from the date of birth of Jesus Christ to present. The work is devoted to legislation of teaching of religion and how it is implemented at the state and church schools. In the writing, it is also mentioned ecumenism and teaching of ethics. The work is focused on present and contemporary position of religious teaching in the Czech Republic. The work should demonstrate to the general public what contains teaching of religion and if it is important at the present time.
