Corrosion and deposition rate at secondary circuit of cooling waters at nuclear power plant

Abstract:

Předložená bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou koroze a tvorbou usazenin v okruzích cirkulačních chladicích vod Jaderné elektrárny Dukovany. Korozní procesy představují pro elektrárny značné riziko, jak z hlediska běžného provozu, tak i v kontextu jaderné bezpečnosti. Hlavním cílem práce je posoudit, zda je rychlost koroze a tvorba úsad v potrubí cirkulačních chladicích vod uniformní, nebo dochází k jejich postupnému nárůstu či úbytku. Data pro vyhodnocování jsou získaná z gravimetrické analýzy korozních kuponů, které materiálově odpovídají konstrukčním materiálům potrubí cirkulačních chladicích vod.

Abstract:

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the problem of corrosion and formation of deposits in the circuits of cooling water circuits of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant. Corrosion processes represent a significant risk for power plants, both in terms of normal operation and in the context of nuclear safety. The main objective of the work is to assess whether the corrosion rate and the formation of deposits in the cooling water circulation lines is uniform or whether there is a gradual increase or decrease. The data for the evaluation are obtained from gravimetric analysis of the corrosion coupons, which materially correspond to the construction materials of the circulating cooling water pipelines.
