Organizational motivation system analysis focusing on employees’ satisfaction

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem motivačního systému organizace, soustředí se zejména na pohled samotných zaměstnanců na něj, jejich spokojenost s jeho fungováním. Konkrétní organizací, kterou zkoumá, je organizace soukromého sektoru poskytující personální služby. Práce je v základu rozdělena na 3 části: teoretickou, která poskytuje základní vhled do tématu a definuje pojmy, se kterými se dále pracuje, metodologickou, která popisuje design realizovaného výzkumu v organizaci, a empirickou, ve které jsou analyzována data, testovány hypotézy, interpretovány výsledky a je také zodpovězeno na výzkumné otázky. Hlavní výzkumnou otázkou práce je: „Jak jsou zaměstnanci personální agentury spokojení s motivačním systémem této organizace?“, přičemž jsou formulovány i dílčí výzkumné otázky, jejichž zodpovězení napomáhá lepší orientaci v problematice. Kvantitativní výzkum v rámci empirické části práce se z tohoto důvodu zabývá čtyřmi základními tématy, které dopomohou k lepšímu pochopení situace v dané organizaci: je zkoumáno, jaké potřeby chtějí zaměstnanci dané organizace v práci uspokojovat, na uspokojování jakých potřeb se motivační systém organizace zaměřuje z pohledu samotných zaměstnanců, do jaké míry tento systém naplňuje skutečné potřeby zaměstnanců a konečně do jaké míry jsou zaměstnanci spokojeni s tím, jak jsou jejich potřeby naplňovány. Tento výzkum je doplněn kvalitativní sondou, která se zaměřuje na objektivní prozkoumání motivačního systému organizace, zejména nástrojů, které jsou v jeho rámci používány, aby byl vhled do motivačního systému co nejkomplexnější. Závěr práce se soustředí na shrnutí a doporučení pro manažery dané organizace.

Abstract:

The presented diploma thesis investigates the topic of organizational motivation system, it focuses mainly on the employees’ point of view – to what extent are they satisfied with the way it works. The specific organization that is studied is a private sector organization that offers recruitment services. The paper consists of 3 parts: theoretical, which provides the topic’s outline and defines the concepts which are further examined, methodological, which describes the design of the study that was carried out in the organization, and empirical, which analyzes the data, tests the hypotheses, interprets the results and answers the research questions. The key research question is: „To what extent are the employees of a recruitment agency satisfied with the motivation system of this organization?“, and there are other research questions, which, when answered, help with a better orientation in the topic. The quantitative survey in the empirical part of the study thus investigates 4 main topics which aid to understand the situation in the presented organization: it focuses on what needs do the employees want to fulfill at work, what needs does the motivation system focus on in their opinion, to what extent are their real needs fulfilled by the motivation system and to what extent are the employees satisfied with the way their needs are fulfilled. The survey is amended with a qualitative inquiry into the motivation system of the organization, it investigates mainly the tools that are used, which helps to get a complex view into the motivation system. The final part of the diploma thesis consists of the summary and also recommendations for the managers of the organization.
