Lišejníky jsou poikilohydrické symbiotické organismy, tvořené vzájemným spojením mykobionta (houba) a fotobionta (řasa nebo sinice) v jedinečném komplexním uspořádání - stélku. V posledních desetiletích se výzkumné týmy zaměřují na studium lišejníků jak na úrovni stélky, tak i izolovaných partnerů s důrazem na autotrofního fotobionta. Lichens are poikilohydric symbiotic organisms formed by association of mycobiont (fungus) and fotobiont (alga or cyanobacteria) in a komplex unique arrangement – the thalus. Within last decades, research teams are focused on the study of lichens both at the level of thalus and at the level of isolated partners, on the photobiont in particular.
