Abstract:

Jazzová sekce Svazu hudebníků existovala v letech 1971 až 1986. Zpočátku byla aktivní jen v oblasti jazzu, avšak postupem času se začaly projevovat zájmy o všechny složky kultury. Velká pozornost byla věnována vedle dalších druhů umění i výtvarnému umění. To bylo zastoupeno jak vydáváním knih a katalogů, tak různými aktivitami. Tato činnost spadá do období normalizace, jež přineslo výtvarnému dění u nás velký útlum. Právě v kontextu těchto let, tedy sedmdesátých a osmdesátých, je v této práci sledováno působení JS a její vztah k výtvarnému umění.

Abstract:

The Jazz section of the Musicians‘ Union existed from 1971 till 1986. At the beginning it was truly active only in the area of jazz, however, by and by the interest in all parts of culture has arisen. Besides other kinds of art, they focused a great deal on fine arts. That was represented by books and catalog publishing as well as different activities. This function falls within the time of normalization which brought to the art in our country a big decay. The very context of these years, i.e. 70’s and 80’, the activity of the JS and its relation to art is followed in this thesis.
