Constitutional and political developments in Czechoslovakia since the beginning of the normalization to the end of communist regime

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je politický a ústavní vývoj od počátku normalizace do pádu komunistického režimu. Práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje charakteristice politického režimu a jeho jednotlivým etapám. V druhé kapitole se práce zabývá schválením Ústavy z roku 1960, dále pak jednotlivými články Ústavy. V další části se pak věnuje liberalizaci společnosti, Pražskému jaru, obsazení Československa armádami Varšavské smlouvy a zákonu o Československé Federaci.Ve své předposlední části se práce zabývá normalizací, opozičním hnutí v podobě Charty 77 a návrhem ústavy z roku 1989.Poslední část se práce věnuje soudům, národním výborům a vývoji hospodářského práva. Cílem této práce je osvětlit a přiblížit dobu plnou změn pro Československo, zjistit jak všechny tyto změny zasáhly do života nejen politických elit, ale i běžných občanů. Ptejme se, jaký dopad všechny tyto změny měly nejen v minulosti, ale také dnes.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is the political and constitutional developments since the beginning of the normalization of the end of communist regime. The work is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the characteristics of the political regime and its individual stages. In the second chapter of the thesis deals with the approval of the 1960 constitution, as well as various articles of the Constitution. The next chapter is devoted to liberalization of society, the Prague Spring, the invasion of Czechoslovakia by Warsaw Pact and the constitutional law of the Czechoslovak Federation. In penultimate chapter of the thesis deals with normalization, the opposition movement in the form of Charter 77 and the draft Constitution of 1989. Normalization section deals with the invasion of the armies of the Warsaw Pact, the Act on the Czechoslovak federation and political and constitutional developments after 1968. The last part of the thesis deals with the courts, national committees and development of the economic law. The aim of this paper is to shed light and bring a period of transformation for Czechoslovakia, find out how all these changes affected the lives not only of the political elite, but also ordinary citizens and the impact of all these changes have not only the past but also the future.
