Comparison of selected approaches to eHealth between the Czech Republic and the United states of America

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce s názvem Porovnání vybraných přístupů k eHealth v ČR a USA má za cíl porovnat stav eHealth v České republice a Spojených státech amerických. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí. První část se věnuje pojmům eHealth a Telemedicína, také vysvětluje pojem eGovernment a jeho propojení s eHealth v ČR. Popsána je v ní i historie těchto pojmů a komponenty eHealth. Dále popisuje stav eHealth v ČR, a také v USA. U stavu v jednotlivých zemích jsou popsány již funkční systémy eHealth, používané datové standardy a také datové a komunikační systémy. V první části jsou popsány i informační zdroje obou zemí, které jsou teoretickým podkladem pro druhou část práce. Druhá, praktická část, se věnuje porovnání vybraných informačních zdrojů, konkrétně porovnání vybraných webových stránek ministerstev zdravotnictví, resp. zdraví a sociálních služeb a jejich institucí obou zemí. K tomuto účelu jsou stanovena kritéria, metody a hodnocení kritérií, dle kterého je vyvozen závěr analýzy.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis entitled Comparison of selected approaches to eHealth between the Czech Republic and the United states of America aims for comparison of the state of eHealth in the Czech Republic and the United States of America. This work consists of two parts. The first part deals with concepts of eHealth and telemedicine, it also explains concept of eGovernment and its connection with eHealth in Czech. There is also described history of mentioned concepts and components of eHealth. Further this work describes the state of eHealth in Czech and USA. At the conditions of single countries are described already functional systems of eHealth, used data standards and data and communication systems too. In the first part, there are described information sources of both countries too, which are the background for the second part of this work. The second, practical part is devoted to the comparison between selected informational sources, specifically comparison between selected web sites of Health department, respectively Department of Health & Human Services ant their institutes of both countries. For this purpose, criteria, methods, and evaluation of criteria are set, according to which the conclusion of the analysis is drawn.
