Discount portals: advantages and risks in the HoReCa segment

Abstract:

Slevové portály zaznamenávají již pár let rozmach nejen v České republice a český zákazník na ně slyší. Od roku 2010 je využívá stále více lidí a zdá se, že nejinak tomu bude i v letech následujících, kdy i význam některých slevových portálů poroste. Má práce se zabývá slevovými portály a jejich využitím v oblasti HoReCa, tedy segmentu hotelů a restaurací v České republice. Práce je rozdělena na tři části, část teoretickou, analytickou a návrhovou. Součástí mé bakalářské práce jsou výsledky z dotazování jednotlivých zákazníků těchto služeb a také samotných vedoucích pracovníků podniků využívající tyto služby. Pro potřeby práce jsem stanovil dvě hypotézy, kterým se podrobněji věnuji v analytické a návrhové části. Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat trh slevových portálů z pohledu nabídky a poptávky v České republice a poukázat na rizika a výhody s nimi spojenými. Informace jsem čerpal z literatury a osobních rozhovorů s vedoucími pracovníky a jednotlivci z řad zákazníků.

Abstract:

Discount portals have been popular for a few years not only in the Czech Republic and Czech customers really love them. Since 2010, such portals have been used by more and more people and it seems it would remain the same in the following years, and the importance of some discount sites would grow. My work focuses on discount portals and their use in the HoReCa field, a segment of hotel and restaurant industry in the Czech Republic. The work is divided into three parts: the theoretical part, the analytical part and the proposal part. This bachelor thesis includes the results of interviewing individual customers of these portals and also interviewing the managers of companies that use discount portals. For the purposes of this work, I have set two hypotheses, which are discussed in detail in the analytical and proposal section. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the discount portals market from the view of supply and demand in the Czech Republic and point out the risks and benefits associated with them. I gathered the information from the literature and personal interviews with senior executives and customers.
