Financial literacy – analysis, factors

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje problematice finanční gramotnosti. Cílem je zjistit, zda vybraný vzorek lidí, kteří čerpají jeden z významných finančních produktů, hypoteční úvěr, vykazuje vyšší finanční gramotnost, než je průměr v České republice podle průzkumu Ministerstva financí České republiky. Teoretická část se zabývá definováním a vymezením pojmu finanční gramotnosti a jejím členěním. Dále se také zabývá popisem úrovně finanční gramotnosti v České republice vyplývající z výsledků průzkumu finanční gramotnosti výzkumu Ministerstva financí a České bankovní asociace v roce 2020. Druhá část diplomová práce se již věnuje vlastnímu dotazníkovému šetření. Zde je popsána metoda průzkumu, struktura otázek, výběr a charakteristika vzorku respondentů a popis sběru dat včetně struktury dotazníku. Na tuto kapitolu navazuje samotné vyhodnocení jednotlivých otázek a porovnání s výsledky Ministerstva financí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is devoted to the issue of financial literacy. The aim is to find out if a selected sample of people with mortgage loan, shows higher financial literacy than the average level in the Czech Republic according to a survey by the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part deals with defining financial literacy and describes the level of financial literacy in the Czech Republic according to the results of the financial literacy survey by the Ministry of Finance and the Czech Banking Association in 2020. The second part of the thesis is devoted to its own questionnaire survey. There is described the survey method, the structure of the questions, the selection and characteristics of the sample of respondents and the description of the data collection, including the structure of the questionnaire. This chapter is followed by the evaluation of individual questions and a comparison with the results of the Ministry of Finance.
