Czech literature in translation (based on the analysis of the texts of the Silesian Calendar)

Abstract:

Celem pracy dyplomowej była recepcja literatury czeskiej w przekładach polskich publikowana w Kalendarzach Śląskich w latach 1962-1966 i 1989?1994. Interesowała nas głównie frekwencja i jakość przekładów. Analiza językowa wybranych tekstów pokazała uchybienia w wszystkich planach języzkowych oprócz fonetyczno-fonologicznegpo oraz słabą znajomość teorii przekładu.

Abstract:

The aim of the dissertation was the reception of Czech literature in Polish translations published in the Silesian Calendar between 1962-1966 and 1989-1994. We were mainly interested in the turnout and quality of translations. The linguistic analysis of selected texts showed weaknesses in all linguistic plans except phonetic-phonological differences and poor understanding of translation theory.
