An autorial textile or set of textiles for specific interior

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá fenoménem křesťanského sakrálního prostoru v prostředí katolické církve a textiliemi, které se v něm vyskytují. Tyto textilie byly součástí chrámového interiéru od počátku. Mým záměrem bylo objasnit jejich účel, formu, symboliku a vývoj v průběhu dvou tisíc let. Východiskem pro toto objasnění je teologie křesťanského chrámu a průběh liturgie v různých dobách. Ten definoval nároky na chrámové vybavení, které tvoří platformu pro jednotlivé textilie. Na obrazové výzdobě obecně ilustruji náměty a význam vzorů těchto textilií. Můj zájem se soustředí především na antependium, jeho původ, smysl a konkrétní česká textilní díla tohoto charakteru. Součástí práce je realizace kolekce oltářních závěsů do kostela sv. Brixi ve Staré Dobevi. Ta je tvořená pěti díly z bílého tylu zdobenými technikou protahované výšivky a třemi podkladovými textiliemi ze saténu. Jednotlivé části kolekce lze vzájemně kombinovat, čímţ vzniká několik moţností finální instalace antependia. Abstract:

The thesis deals with the phenomenon of the christian church space and textiles within it. These textiles have been its part from the beginning. My intention was to clarify their purpose, form, symbolism and evolution during the two millennia. Those qualities are derived from the theology of christian temple and the evolution of liturgy. The rite itself determined church furnishing, which is the basis for textiles. On the example of painting decorations in general I explained the significance and theme of sacral textile décor. I focused primaryly on the altar frontal, its origin, purpose and specific Czech artefacts. The makeing of the set of altar frontals for the Church of St. Brixi in Stará Dobev is a part of my thesis. The set consists of five parts made of white tulle decorated with ornamental embroidery and three separate background textiles. The components of the set can be variably installed to make the final arrangement of the altar frontal.
