Education of the firstborn and secondborn child by mother

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na výchovné styly uplatňované na prvorozených a druhorozených dětech, a to ze strany matky. Je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy týkající se výchovy, obecné charakterové vlastnosti prvorozených a druhorozených dětí a jejich výchovné specifika v souvislosti na pořadí narození, věkovém rozdílu nebo pohlaví. Role matky a otce ve výchově jsou zde rovněž uvedeny. Posledním bodem teoretické části jsou výchovné styly dle Čápa. Praktická část je tvořena zakotvenou teorií, kde byly provedeny hloubkové rozhovory se čtyřmi respondentkami, které hovořily o svých prvorozených a druhorozených dětech. Pomocí jejich kódování byl zjištěn závěr, že při výchově prvorozených dětí převažuje pevný výchovný styl, s jistým vedením a méně vřelým emočním vztahem. U druhorozených dětí je styl volnější, s vedením nejistým, zato ale převažuje vřelý emoční vztah mezi matkou a jejím dítětem.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the educational styles applied to the firstborn and secondborn children by the mother. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to education, general characteristics of first-born and second-born children and their educational specifics in relation to the order of birth, age difference or gender. The roles of mother and father in education are also mentioned here. The last point of the theoretical part are the educational styles according to author Jan Čáp. The practical part consists of grounded theory where in-depth interviews were conducted with four respondents who talked about their first-born and second-born children. Using their coding, it was concluded that the upbringing of first-born children is dominated by a solid educational style, with some guidance and a less warm emotional relationship. In the case of second-born children, the educational style is looser, with uncertain guidance, but the warm emotional relationship between the mother and her child prevails
