Pilgrime site at Horní Police and construction activities of Saxony-Lauenburg members between 1688-1731

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem poutního areálu s kostelem Navštívení Panny Marie v Horní Polici a obdobím jeho budování v letech 1688-1731 pod patronací držitelů hornopolického panství z rodu Sasko-launeburských. Pozornost bude věnována historii poutního místa, přehledovému kontextu jeho existence v rámci ostatních poutních míst v oblasti severozápadních Čech a v kontextu stavebnických aktivit Sasko-lauenburského rodu, pozornost je věnována i stavebnímu vývoji zmíněného poutního areálu a kostela a osobnostem jeho hlavních stavitelů, kterými jsou Giulio Broggio, Octavio Broggio a Václav Špaček. Zároveň bude v rámci přípravy DP proveden operativní průzkum a dokumentace dochovaných architektonických prvků ze sledovaného období. Takto získané zanalyzované výsledky doplní teoretické poznatky získané rešeršemi maximálního spektra dostupné literatury a archivním průzkumem.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the pilgrimage area with the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Horní Police and the period of its construction in the years 1688-1731 under the patronage of the owners of Horní Police estate the Saxony-Lauenburg family. Attention will be paid to the history of the pilgrimage site, the overview context of its existence within other pilgrimage sites in northwest Bohemia and in the context of its existence activities of the Saxony-Lauenburg family, construction development of the pilgrimage site, church and personalities of its main builders Giulio Broggio, Octavio Broggio a Václav Špaček. As part of the preparation of this diploma thesis there will be carried out an operational survey and documentation of the preserved architectural elements from the monitored period. Obtained and analyzed results will supplement the theoretical knowledge gained by searching the maximum spectrum available literature and archival research.
