Pessimism in Giacomo Leopardi's Canti
Abstract:
My thesis analyses Canti, collection of poems by italian philosopher and poet Giacomo Leopardi. The major theme of my work is Leopardi's pessimism. It not only examines the poems, it also seeks to give explanations by looking closer at Leopardi's life and philosophy.
Abstract:
Moja praca sa zaobera rozborom basnickej zbierky Canti, ktoru napisal Giacomo Leopardi, filozof, basnik a satirik 19.storocia. Hlavnou temou mojej prace je Leopardiho pesimizmus. Praca je okrem rozboru basni zamerana na zivot a filozofiu Leopardiho, ktore pomahaju pochopit jeho dielo.
