Abstract:

Diplomová práce sleduje vznik a vývoj autorského muzikálu. Cílem práce je dojít k návodu, jak postupovat při tvorbě vlastního muzikálu. První část práce se zabývá historií autorského muzikálu Fantom Londýna, především tím, jak je možné, že z jednoho námětu vznikly dva různé muzikály – Fantom Londýna a Jack Rozparovač. Druhá část charakterizuje tehdejší dobu a uvádí fakta, která jsou použita v muzikálu a která nikoliv. V třetí části práce je pozornost věnována autorům muzikálu, celému inscenačnímu týmu a krátké zpovědi každého z nich. Ve čtvrté části se práce okrajově zmiňuje o Divadle Jiřího Myrona (součásti Národního divadla moravskoslezského v Ostravě), pro které byl Fantom Londýna napsán. V páté části se práce zaměřuje na samotný vývoj muzikálu Fantom Londýna v tomto divadle, od workshopů přes samotné zkoušení až k výsledku, a pokouší se tento pracovní postup objektivně zhodnotit. Předposlední část práce se zabývá divadlem Hybernia v Praze, ve kterém byl Fantom Londýna také uveden pod názvem Přízrak Londýna. Poslední část je věnována analýze a reflexi díla.

Abstract:

The dissertation focuses on a creation and development of a musical copyright. The aim of the dissertation is to come up with an instruction on how to proceed when creating a musical. The first part of the dissertation deals with a musical copyright The Phantom of London and mainly concentrates on the understanding of how it is possible that one theme forms two different musicals – The Phantom of London and Jack the Ripper. The second part describes the era and presents facts which are used in the musical, and which are not. In the third part of the dissertation the attention is paid to the authors of the musical and the whole production team. It also contains a short interview with each of them. In the fourth part the dissertation mentions Jiří Myron Theatre (part of the National Theatre in Ostrava) The Phantom of London has been written for. The fifth part focuses on the actual development of the musical The Phantom of London in this Theatre, from workshops through its practicing to the outcome itself, and attempts to objectively evaluate the workflow. The last but one part of the dissertation introduces the Hybernia Theatre in Prague, where The Phantom of London has also been performed in, called The Wraith of London. The final part is devoted to an analysis and reflection on the musical.
