Are old women discriminated against more than old men in the labour market? A review of experimental literature

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce představuje přehled existující experimentální literatury o diskriminaci na základě věku se zaměřením na diskriminaci starších žen. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda jsou starší ženy na trhu práce diskriminovány více než muži. Práci nejprve začnu přehledem o metodologii použité k identifikaci a výběru článků, které mají být pokryty v této rešerši. Klíčová zjištění výzkumu organizuji tak, že nejprve uvádím nálezy z korespondenčních studií, následně auditních testů a na závěr ze studií využívajících dotazníkových metod.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis presents an overview of the existing experimental literature on the age discrimination with a focus on the discrimination against women. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether older women are more discriminated than men in the labor market. The research starts with an overview of the methodology used to identify and select the articles that are covered in this research. I organize the key findings of the research by first presenting findings from correspondence studies, then audit tests and finally from studies using questionnaire methods.
