Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vytvořením Business Intelligence řešení ve společnosti Siemens s.r.o., konkrétně v oddělení Fleet Managementu. Teoretická část práce se zabývá charakteristikou business intelligence řešení a jeho obvyklých součástí, analýzou stávajícího stavu v dotyčném oddělení společnosti Siemens, a vytýčením cílů, které by vytvářené BI řešení mělo naplnit.Praktická část dokumentuje postup vytváření konkrétního BI řešení ve vybraném softwaru, tedy integraci všech datových zdrojů do datového skladu, vytvoření jednotlivých částí BI řešení (datové pumpy, OLAP kostky apod.), vytvoření analytických výstupů a jejich následnou interpretaci.Hlavním cílem práce je, kromě vytvoření samotného BI řešení, vytvoření takových výstupů, které odpovědným pracovníkům poskytnou podporu při rozhodování za účelem dosažení stanovených firemních cílů.

Abstract:

Subject of the diploma thesis is development of a business intelligence solution in Siemens, s.r.o company, specifically in the Fleet Management department.Theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the characterstics of business intelligence solution and its usual components, analysis of current state of things in the Fleet Management department in Siemens company and setting up the goals which the created BI solution should fulfil.Practical part documents the proces of developing this specific BI solution via previously chosen software – integration of all data sources into data warehouse, developing all components of BI solution (ETL, OLAP cubes and others), creating analytical outputs and their further interpretation.The main goal of the thesis is, besides the BI solution devlopment itself, creating such outputs which will provide support to responsible workers in decision-making that should help to achieve previously stated company goals.
