Práce se snaží vytvořit rekonstrukci pohledu na předměstí před Brněnskou branou v období 14. století, jeho zástavbu a hmotnou kulturu. Jedná se o oblast dnešních ulic Pekařská (po začátek prostoru Fakultní nemocnice u Sv. Anny), Kopečná, Anenská a Studánka. První část textu se věnuje dějinám města a předměstí. The work deals with a reconstruction of the suburbia of Brno Ante portam Brunnense in the 14th centrury, with its build-up area and material culture. The area consists of today streets Pekařská, Kopečná, Anenská and Studánka.
