Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce je hodnocení péče o ženy s gestačním diabetem mellitem. Gestační diabetes mellitus je jedno z nejčastějších onemocnění, které se v těhotenství může vyskytnout. V současné době se udává, že toto onemocnění je diagnostikováno až u 18 % těhotných žen. Toto onemocnění ženy řadí mezi rizikové a dle vážnosti gestačního diabetu mellitu a způsobu jeho terapie je i přizpůsobená péče o ně. Onemocnění s sebou také přináší i rizika možných komplikací, které se přímo odvíjejí od kompenzace gestačního diabetu mellitu. Je proto velmi důležité, aby byly diabetičky správně informované o léčbě a vše tak dobře zvládaly. Důležité je také zmírnit jejich obavy a podpořit je. Spokojenost pacientů, konkrétně těhotných diabetiček, se neodvíjí jen od perfektní zdravotní péče o jejich fyzickou stránku, ale často větší roli hraje lidský přístup, zájem a empatie zdravotníků. Komplexní péče, ačkoli je časově náročnější, by měla být hlavním cílem všech zdravotníků. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a průzkumnou část. V teoretické části je detailně popsáno onemocnění gestační diabetes mellitus. Dále je popsána psychika těhotných žen a v krátkosti i kvalita poskytované péče, zejména zaměřena na spokojenost pacientů. Empirická část je vedena kvalitativním designem průzkumného šetření. Hlavním cílem průzkumu bylo zjistit míru spokojenosti oslovených žen, kterým byl diagnostikován gestační diabetes mellitus, s poskytnutou péčí od zdravotnického personálu během těhotenství a porodu. Dalšími cíli bylo zjistit průběh těhotenství a porodu u žen s GDM a také jsem se zajímala o psychiku žen. Informantkami byly ženy, kterým byl v těhotenství zjištěn GDM a v době šetření byly po porodu.

Abstract:

The topic of this diploma thesis is evaluation of nursing women with gestational diabetes mellitus. Gestational diabetes mellitus is one of the most common conditions possibly appearing during pregnancy. Nowadays, it is stated that up to 18 % of pregnant women are diagnosed with this condition. Women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus belong to the high-risk pregnancy group and depending on the process of diabetes, the right care needs to be chosen. The condition includes risks of possible complication which depend directly on the seriousness of the disease. It is therefore important for a diabetic to be properly informed about the management to be able to cope well with everything. Another important thing is to alleviate the stress and worries of the women diagnosed with this condition and to support them. The level of satisfaction of the patients depends not only on a perfect medical care of their physical condition but very often there is a more significant role affecting the happiness and it is the approach, interest and empathy of healthcare professionals towards the patients. Despite being more time-consuming, the complex care should be the main objective of all health workers. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part there are the condition of gestational diabetes mellitus characterised in detail, a description of a state of mind of expecting women and there is also mentioned a quality of a medical care with the focus on patients' satisfaction. The empirical part is based on a qualitative design of exploration survey. The main objective of the survey was to ascertain the level of satisfaction of women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus that have been provided with medical care by health workers during the pregnancy and delivery. Other objectives were to find out the course of a pregnancy and childbirth occurring in women diagnosed with GDM and I was also interested in women's mental condition. The respondents of the survey were women diagnosed with GDM within pregnancy and during the survey were after giving birth.
