Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem jmen postav a kouzel v knize o Harrym Potterovi od autory J.K. Rowlingové. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na postupy překladů a na možná řešení, která byla užita v souvislosti s překladem jmen postav, kulturních odkazů, vztahem autora ke čtenáři, neologismy a lexikální ekvivalence.
