Mapping of vegetation in floodplain of Litavka river depending on geomorphological conditions and contamination

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na mapování vegetace podél řeky Litavky v závislosti na geomorfologických poměrech a kontaminaci. Bylo provedeno terénní šetření, při němž se zjišťoval aktuální stav vegetace a změny koryta viditelné přímo v terénu. Proběhlo zpracování historických leteckých snímků (pomocí programu Agisoft PhotoScan) a jejich porovnávání se snímky současnými (pomocí programu ArcGIS for Desktop). Z výsledných map je možné porovnat tok řeky v minulosti a v současnosti jsou zde vidět boční posuny koryta, boční nestabilita koryta, tok řeky před povodní a po povodni. Dále byl porovnán krajinný pokryv nivy Litavky ve vybraných letech.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis is focused on mapping of vegetation along the river Litavka depending on geomorphological conditions and contamination. During the field survey, the current status of vegetation and visible changes of the channel were investigated. There was the processing of historical aerial photographs conducted (using Agisoft PhotoScan) and their comparison with the current images (using ArcGIS for Desktop). From the resulting maps it is possible to compare the flow of the river in past and today there can be seen the lateral shifts of the channel, meandering, and the river before and after the flood. Furthermore, it is possible to compare the land cover of Litavka floodplain in selected years.
