Immigration Policy of the Czech Republic with the Focus on Integration of Foreigners and Forms of their Stay

Abstract:

Evropa se v současné době ocitla ve velmi složité situaci, která nastala v důsledku masového příchodu migrantů ze zemí zasažených válkou či ekonomickou krizí. Ačkoliv byla v minulých obdobích v rámci Evropské unie schválená společná pravidla v oblasti migrační a azylové politiky, je zřejmé, že na takové množství lidí přicházejících do Evropy nebyly úřady ani členské země EU připraveny. Česká republika v době, kdy je psána tato práce, nebyla přímo migrační vlnou zasažena. Lze tedy konstatovat, že ověření kvality české národní migrační a azylové politiky máme (možná) před námi. Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na současný stav zmíněných politik v České republice jak z hlediska legislativního a institucionálního rámce, tak i skutečné připravenosti na aktuální vývoj zmíněného problému.

Abstract:

Europe currently finds itself in a very difficult situation that has arisen due to the mass arrival of migrants from countries affected by war or economic crisis. Although common rules in the field of migration and asylum policy have been agreed upon recently within the European Union, it is apparent that neither the authorities or the EU member countries have been prepared for such a number of people arriving in Europe. The Czech Republic at the time of drafting this work was not directly affected by the migration wave. It can therefore be concluded that the verification of the quality of the Czech national migration and asylum policy still lies ahead of us. This thesis is focused on the current status of these policies in the Czech Republic in terms of both the legislative and institutional framework and the actual readiness of current developments of the above mentioned problem.
