Abstract:

Soubor deseti minimalistických portrétu osobností města Zlína je základní a prvotní myšlenka, která je úzce spjata s identitou tohoto města. Hlavní premis teto práce spočívá v zachycení průřezu generacemi, které pochází ze stejného prostředí, jsou tvarováni stejnou mentalitou, kulturou, ale přitom jejich osobnost vyjadřuje silného ducha a individualitu. Klíčovým tématem je individualita osobnosti žijící v homogenním prostředí malého města, známé svou historii, kde individualita byla silně potlačována. Baťův Zlín je oslavován pro svou pedantickou organizaci a efektivní výrobu obuvi, v nichž obyvatele byly součásti této mašinerií produkce žijící v uniformitě a konvenci. Tato intimní zpověď je tichy protest a reflexe nad tímto dědictvím. Vizuální jazyk a uhel pohledu jsou v souladu. Neutralita jak v obraze, tak v přístupu k fotografovaných subjektů je zásadní. Nediskriminuji věk, pohlaví a ani rasu. Zachycuji portrétované zbavené jakéhokoli stereotypního zařazení ve společnosti, nepoužívám oblečení jako pomůcky k určení identity těchto jedinců. Jsou to diskrétní portréty osvobozeny od předsudku a sociální hierarchie. Tvůrčí kreativita k vytvoření tohoto konceptu spočívá v nekompromisní čistotě formy. Model je na bílém pozadí snímán z en face, do pasu. Přímý pohled do objektivu s bílým neutrálním pozadím. Pět žen má oblečený jednotný tělový úbor, muži jsou odhaleni do půl pasu. Pro docílení jemnosti je použito osvětlení v kombinaci umělého zábleskového světla s denním rozptýleným světlem. Těmito prostředky chci vyjádřit čistý co nejpravdivější a nejpřirozenější obraz. Nutné je také podotknout význam velikosti formátu a pomyslná hra pohledu mezi modelem a divákem. Velikost formátu fotografie 100x60cm umocňuje fyzickou přítomnost těchto portrétů a zkracuje tak vzdálenost mezi objektem a divákem. Oko objektivu a hluboké pohledy modelu zavadí diváka primo do jejich duše. Očním kontaktem navazují intimitu s pozorovateli a provokují k dialogu. Vyjádření individuality těmito výrazovými prostředky je vyjádřením vzdoru, jemnosti, pravdy a hloubky.

Abstract:

The set of ten portraits of personalities of the city of Zlín is a basic and primary idea, which is closely connected with the identity of this city. The main premise of this work, which consists in capturing the cross-section of generations that come from the same environment, are shaped by the same mentality, culture, but at the same time their personality expresses a strong spirit and individuality. The key theme is the individuality of a personality living in a homogeneous environment of a small town, known for its history, where individuality has been strongly suppressed. Baťa's Zlin is celebrated for its pedantic organization and efficient production of footwear, in which the inhabitants were part of this machine production living in uniformity and convention. This intimate confession is a silent protest and reflection on this legacy. Visual language and point of view are consistent. Neutrality in both the image and the approach to the subjects is essential. I do not discriminate on age, gender or race. I capture portraits deprived of any stereotypical classification in society, I do not use clothing as an aid to determine the identity of these individuals. These are discrete portraits free from prejudice and the social hierarchy. The creative creativity to create this concept lies in the uncompromising purity of form. The model is shot on a white background from en face, to the waist. Direct view of the lens with a white neutral background. Five women are wearing uniforms, the men are exposed to half a waist. To achieve softness, lighting is used in a combination of artificial strobe light with daylight. By these means, I want to express a pure, truest and most natural picture. It is also necessary to note the importance of the size of the format and the imaginary game of view between the model and the viewer. The size of the photo format 100x60cm enhances the physical presence of these portraits and thus shortens the distance between the subject and the viewer. The eye of the lens and the deep glances of the model lead the viewer directly into their soul. Through eye contact, they establish intimacy with the observers and provoke dialogue. The expression of individuality by these means of expression is an expression of defiance, subtlety, truth and depth.
