The Attitude of Partners to Upbringing Children in a Contemporary Family

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou rodičovských přístupů ve výchově dětí v současné rodině. Teoretická část pojednává o rodině a porovnává charakteristiku rodiny v minulosti a v současnosti. Ústředním tématem je partnerský přístup v rodině. Je zde roze-bírána důležitost komunikace a spolupráce mezi rodiči a dětmi. Dále vymezuje pojmy jako vzájemný respekt, tolerance, úcta a důstojnost mezi rodiči a dětmi. Závěr teoretické části objasňuje nastavení hranic ve výchově dětí, důvody nežádoucího chování dětí, používání odměn a trestů ve výchově a důslednost rodičů ve výchově. V rámci empirické části bylo pomocí kvantitativního výzkumu zjišťováno, jaké výchovné přístupy zaujímají současní rodiče ve výchově dětí. Cílem bylo zjistit, jaký konkrétní výchovný přístup rodiče preferují, zda partnerský, či mocenský. Data jsou zpracována pomocí dotazníkového šetření. V závěru práce je provedena analýza a interpretace dat z uskutečněného výzkumu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of parental approaches in the education of children in the family nowadays. The theoretical part deals with the family and compares the cha-racteristics of the family in the past and present. The central theme is a partner approach in the family. It discusses the importance of communication and cooperation between parents and children. It further defines concepts as mutual respect, tolerance, respect and dignity between parents and children. The conclusion of the theoretical part explains the setting of the boundaries in the upbringing of children, the reasons for undesired behavior of chil-dren, the use of rewards and punishments in education and the consistency of parents in education. Within the practical part, quantitative research has investigated the educational attitudes of parents in the education of children these days. The aim was to find out what parenting approach parents preferred, whether as a partner or using power. The data is pro-cessed by means of a questionnaire survey. At the end of the thesis the analysis and inter-pretation of the data from the performed research is carried out.
