The View of Disabled People on Hipotherapy

Abstract:

Cílem mého výzkumu bylo zabývat se pohledem handicapovaných - lidí s chronickým onemocněním (RS) na léčbu pomocí hipoterapie. Cílová skupina se sestávala z pěti respondentů navštěvujících dlouhodobě hipoterapii a byla záměrně složená z lidí, které pojí handicap a pravidelná dlouhodobá rehabilitace formou hipoterapie. Výzkum byl realizován v jezdeckém areálu Panská Lícha, v nedalekém okolí Brna, kde je k dispozici bezbariérové prostředí a krytá jezdecká hala, která umožňuje terapii provádět celoročně a nezávisle na počasí a venkovním ruchu. Výzkum bakalářské práce byl řešen na základě kvalitativního pojetí pomocí ohniskové skupiny. Účastníci si mezi sebou vyměňovali své zkušenosti a zážitky a navzájem se konfrontovali. Získané informace byly zpracovány formou zakotvené teorie. Praktická část mého výzkumu potvrdila řadu účinků hipoterapie, které se nachází v teoretické části. Byly to zejména zlepšení fyzické kondice a psychického stavu, zvýšení sebevědomí, snížení bolesti zad a pravidelný řád. Objevil se tu také jeden problém – strach z koní – který se ve většině případů dá u klientů odbourat.

Abstract:

The aim of my research was to look on a treatment by the hipotherapy from view of handicapped people suffering from chronical disease. Target group consisted of five people treated by the hipotherapy in the long term. The group was purposely made of handicapped people, who were habilitated for a long time. The research was realised in riding area Panská Lícha, very close to Brno. In this area is non-barrier access and covered riding building, which allows riders to ride every time, no matter of season, weather, or noise. The research of my bachelor‘s work was done in qualitative conception through the use of target group. The participants of research talked to each other, shared their experiences and discussed. Obtained data were elaborated by a form of a stationary theory. Practical part of my research has proved a lot of impacts of hipotherapy, which is now located in theoretical phase. It is for example improving of physical condition of treated people, improving of their mental condition. Also uplift of self confidence and reduction of back pain has to be mentioned. The regular discipline is important too. And a problem has appeared, fear of horses, but this problem can be solved with most of the clients.
