Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o problematice využití chytrých telefonů jako didaktických pomůcek v hodinách anglického jazyka. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. Část teoretická nejprve diskutuje o využití technologií ve výuce z obecného hlediska, poté se soustředí na M-learning a systém BOYD. Zkoumá kladné a záporné aspekty použití mobilních telefonů ve vzdělávacím procesu, včetně využití sociálních médií. Poslední kapitola teoretické části představuje smartphony jako prostředek k výuce jiných dovedností v rámci výuky jazyka, konkrétně informační gramotnosti a kritického myšlení, jako její nedělitelné součásti. Praktická část se pokouší nabídnout několik způsobů, jak zahrnout prvky výuky informační gramotnosti pomocí mobilních telefonů do výuky. Popisuje jejich aplikaci a následnou analýzu v kontextu druhého stupně základní školy, využitím kvalitativního výzkumu akčního charakteru.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of using students’ personal smartphones as a didactic tool within classes of English language. It consists of two main parts, theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part studies the use of technology in education initially from the general point of view, then it focuses on m-learning and BOYD system. It examines the positive and negative aspects of using smartphones in the educational process, including social media application. The last chapter of the theoretical part introduces smartphones as an aid to teach some extra skills within language education, specifically information literacy and critical thinking as its inseparable part. The practical part attempts to offer several tips for information literacy skill instruction through smartphones. It depicts its application and follow-up analysis within a lower secondary education, using a qualitative research of an action character.
