Zeta function and Riemann hypothesis

Abstract:

In this thesis, we mainly focus on the Riemann zeta function, the Prime number theorem and the Riemann hypothesis. We formulate two different forms of the Prime number theorem, then we build the Riemann zeta function step by step and show its main properties as well as its connection to prime numbers. We then state the Riemann hypothesis and its generalization and further discuss various attempts at delivering its proof. At the end of this thesis, we focus on how does the Riemann hypothesis affect other scientific disciplines.

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme zejména Riemannově zeta funkci, Prvočíselné větě a Riemannově hypotéze. Formulujeme si dva odlišné tvary Prvočíselné věty, poté postupně budujeme Riemannovu zeta funkci a ukazujeme si její základní vlastnosti a také její souvislost s prvočísly. Jako další formulujeme znění Riemannovy hypotézy a její zobecnění a poté pojednáváme o některých pokusech o její důkaz. V závěru práce se zaměřujeme na to, jakým způsobem Riemannova hypotéza zasahuje do dalších vědeckých oboru.
