Diplomová práce se zabývá tvorbou vybraných autorů tzv. Harlemské renesance. Jedná se o vyvrcholení černošské kultury ve 20. a 30. letech 20. století. Cílem této práce je hledat sociální podmínky a segregaci v té době žijících Afroameričanů a výskyt rasismu vůči této populaci. The diploma thesis deals with the work of selected authors of the so-called Harlem Renaissance, the culmination of black culture in the 1920s and 1930s. The aim of this thesis is to search for the social conditions and segregation of the African-Americas who lived at that time and the occurrence of racism towards that population.
