Defense of Tree Species by Tree Micro-injection Technology through Pathogenic Fungi of the genus Phytophthora

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá potenciálem stromové mikro-injektáže jako obrany proti patogenům rodu Phytophthora a léčby chorob jím způsobené. Na stromech druhu Carpinus betulus a Acer platanoides byly sledovány fyziologické aspekty jako vodní potenciál, průduchová vodivost a spektrální odrazivost listů. V práci jsou stručně popsány dotčené druhy rodu Phytophthora – Ph. plurivora a Ph. cambivora, hostitelské dřeviny a jejich možné škodlivé organismy a technika stromové mikro-injektáže. Symptomatické stromy byly nainjektovány dvěma různými fungicidy. Poté byly porovnány rozdíly mezi symptomatickými a asymptomatickými, nainjektovanými a nenainjektovanými stromy a účinky mezi jednotlivými fungicidy. Účinek injektáže se projevil u každého ze sledovaných fyziologických aspektů. Celkem bylo zkoumáno 33 stromů a bylo provedeno 1950 měření.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the potential of micro-injection as a defense against pathogens of the Phytophthora genus and the treatment of diseases caused by it. On tree species Carpinus betulus and Acer platanoides physiological aspects were observed such as water potential, vent conductivity and stomatal resistance. In the thesis there are briefly explained genus species of Phytophthora – Ph. plurivora and Ph. cambivora, host wood plants and their possible harmful organisms and mechanics of tree micro-grouting. Symptomatic trees were grouted with two different fungicides. Then the differences were compared between symptomatic and asymptomatic, grouted and ungrouted trees and the effects between the different fungicides. The effect of grouting manifested itself in each observed physiological aspect. In total there were 33 trees examined and 1950 measurements conducted.
