Adventure Therapy in the Terapeutic Community Advaita

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou terapie dobrodružstvím se zaměřením na Terapeutickou komunitu Advaita. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Na základě studia odborné literatury se první kapitola zabývá tím, co je to terapie dobrodružstvím, jak lze využít dobrodružství v terapii, jaké přínosy tato léčebná metoda přináší a jaké výzkumy na tohle téma proběhly v uplynulých letech. Podstatou druhé kapitoly jsou terapeutické komunity. Kapitola je orientována na vysvětlení pojmu, cíle, pravidla, program a filozofii terapeutických komunit. Část kapitoly se věnuje také tomu, pro jaké osoby je komunitní léčba určena a jaké fáze léčba obnáší. V závěru se kapitola obrací na Terapeutickou komunitu Advaita. Třetí kapitola pojednává o odborném týmu pracovníků terapeutických komunit. Uvádí také, jaké vzdělání je pro pracovníky nezbytné a jaké požadavky jsou na pracovníky během zátěžových akcí kladeny. Teoretické poznatky uvedeny v první části práce souvisejí s částí praktickou. Cílem praktické části je zjistit, na základě kvalitativní analýzy rozhovorů s pracovníky terapeutické komunity Advaita, co pro pracovníky terapie dobrodružstvím znamená, jaké s ní mají zkušenosti a jaká jsou jejich očekávání. Kapitola se věnuje popsání použité metodologie s názvem Meaning Constitution Analysis (MCA), volbě výzkumného vzorku a následně samotným výsledkům a interpretacím výzkumného šetření. Závěr práce se zaobírá shrnutím výsledků a limity výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of adventure therapy with a focus on the Advaita Therapeutic Community. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Based on the study of literature, the first chapter deals with what is adventure therapy, how can you take advantage of adventure in therapy, what benefits does this curative method bring and what researches have been done on this subject in recent years. The essence of the second chapter are therapeutic communities. The chapter focuses on explaining the concept, goals, rules, program and philosophy of therapeutic communities. Part of the chapter also deals with the type of person for whom community treatment is intended and the stages of treatment. In the end, the chapter turns to the Advaita Therapeutic Community. The third chapter discusses the expert team of therapeutic community workers. It also mentions what training is necessary for workers and what requirements are imposed on workers during stress actions. The theoretical knowledge presented in the first part of the thesis is related to the practical part. The aim of the practical part is to find out, based on qualitative analysis of interviews with the staff of the therapeutic community Advaita, what for the adventure therapy workers means, what experience they have and what are their expectations. The chapter describes the methodology used, Meaning Constitution Analysis (MCA), the choice of the research sample, and the results and interpretations of the research. The conclusion deals with the summary of results and limits of the research.
