Self-management of Bereavement Counselors

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na oblast self-managementu poradců pro pozůstalé, včetně specifikace částí self-managementu, a to sebepoznání, sebevýchovy a seberozvoje, dále je směřována pozornost na profesi a osobnost poradce pro pozůstalé, na závěr teoretické části jsou definovány využívané strategie seberozvoje. Pro diplomovou práci byl zvolen kvalitativní přístup a technika polostandardizovaného rozhovoru. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, jaké strategie seberozvoje využívají poradci pro pozůstalé ve své profesi. Postup provedeného výzkumu je zaznamenán v metodické části včetně etických otázek výzkumu. Získaná data jsou za pomoci otevřeného kódování analyzována a v poslední části diplomové práce interpretována. V závěru jsou shrnuta zjištění o identifikovaných využívaných strategiích seberozvoje – supervize, sociální opora, víra, organizace času, vzdělávání, autoregulace myšlení a emocí, volnočasové aktivity (zájmy a relaxace), spánek a výživa. Zároveň jsou v závěru uvedena doporučení pro praxi.

Abstract:

This master thesis is focused on self-management of bereavement counselors, including specifications of the parts of self-management: self-knowledge, self-education and self-development. It also deals with occupation and personality of the bereavement counselors. At the end of theoretical part, used strategies of self-development are defined. Qualitative approach and semi-standardized interview technique were chosen for this master thesis. Main goal was to find what strategies of self-development are used by the bereavement counselors in their profession. The process of the research is reported in the methodological part, including ethical issues. Obtained data are analyzed by using open coding and they are interpreted in the last part of this thesis. In conclusion findings about identified used strategies are summarized – supervision, social support, faith, organization of time, education, self-regulation of thinking and emotions, leisure activities (interests and relaxation), sleep and nutrition. There are also mentioned recommendations for practice.
