Czech Authors in the Digital Realm. (Self) Presentation of Contemporary Czech Writers on the Internet.

Abstract:

Od konce 20. století, kdy se rozšiřuje počet aktivních uživatelů využívající nová média, se objevují změny ovlivňující celý literární systém. Tato práce se v teoretické části zabývá definicí literárních pojmů spojených s internetovou kulturou, v kontextu změn literárního systému problematikou vnímání tradičního vztahu autora - čtenáře a literárními fenomény. V praktické části analyzuje současné české autory, kteří sociální sítě využívají sice odlišně, ale s podobným cílem, a to především za účelem (sebe)propagace. Práce je zaměřena na komerčně úspěšné autory a ty začínající a představuje různé formy prezentace současných českých spisovatelů na internetu, včetně vztahu s virtuální komunitou.

Abstract:

Since the end of 20th century, when the number of active useres of the new medium is expanding, changes which affected whole literary system, have appeared. In the theoretical part, this work deals with the definition of literary terms, which are connected with the internet culture, the problem of the perception of the traditional author - reader relationship and literary phenomena. In the practical part, it analyzes contemporary czech authors, who use social media differently, but with a similar goal, primarily for the purpose of (self)promotion. The work si focused on commercially successful authors and also the beginners. It presents various forms of presentation of contemporary czech writers on the internet, including relationship with the virtual community.
