Influence of microstructural changes creep resistant steel after long-term creep tests on the shape of the polarization curves

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo stanovení korelací mezi tvarem polarizační křivky a mikrostrukturou žáropevné oceli. Vzorky oceli CB2 byly podrobeny dlouhodobým zkouškám tečení při teplotě 650°C. V této práci byly naměřeny polarizační křivky vzorků a byl analyzován tvar polarizačních křivek v závislosti na podmínkách měření a na době do lomu. Při creepu docházelo k precipitačním reakcím, které měnily typ i obsah sekundárních fází v oceli. Při následném elektrochemickém měření se rozpouštění různých fází projevilo zvýšením proudové hustoty. Rozpouštění různých typů precipitátu v různých intervalech elektrochemického potenciálu bylo ověřeno analýzou povrchu vzorků pomocí řádkovací a transmisní elektronové mikroskopie.

Abstract:

The goal of this diploma thesis was to establish connections between the shape of the polarization curves and microstructure of creep resistant steel. The samples of CB2 steel were submitted to long-term creep testing at 650 ° C. In this work the shapes of polarization curves depending on the measurement conditions and the time to fracture were measured. During the creep precipitation reactions occurred, which changed the type and content of secondary phases in the steel. The dissolution of different phases during the subsequent electrochemical measurements resulted in increasing current density. The dissolution of different types of precipitate in various intervals electrochemical potential was verified by analysis of the surface of the samples using scanning and transmission electron microscopy.
