The Methods and Instruments for Support Individual Planning with Clients with Severe Disabilities in the Centre of Daily Services

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zabýváme problematikou individuálního plánování podpory s klienty s těžkým postižením v centru denních služeb se zaměřením na zajištění maximální participace samotného klienta na procesu plánování. V teoretické části charakterizujeme současné pojetí kvality života včetně specifik kvality života lidí s těžkým postižením se zaměřením na jejich potřeby a osobní cíle, popisujeme možnosti podpory v současném systému sociálních služeb České republiky a blíže rozebíráme vlastní proces plánování podpory a jednotlivé možné metody plánování s klientem s těžkým postižením. Výzkumná část obsahuje šetření zabývající se individuálním plánováním podpory v centru denních služeb se čtyřmi konkrétními klienty s těžkým postižením se zaměřením na tvorbu konkrétních plánů podpory, analýzu efektivity použitých metod při jednotlivých krocích plánovacího procesu a shrnutí společných prvků postupů plánování. Při výzkumném šetření byly užity metody kvalitativního výzkumu, jako je rozhovory, pozorování, analýza textových dokumentů a analýza použitých metod plánování.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is concerned with issues of individual planning of support with severely disabled clients in the Centre of Daily Services with a view to guaranteeing the maximal client’s participation during the planning process. The theoretical part characterizes the current concept of life quality including the life quality specifics of people with severe disabilities with respect to their needs and personal goals. The description of possibilities of support in the current social services’ system in the Czech Republic is given afterwards, the process of individual planning of support and particular possible methods of planning with severely disabled clients are further analysed. The research part includes a research dealing with individual planning of support with four severally disabled clients in the Centre of Daily Services focusing on analysis of effectiveness of the methods used at each step of the planning process and summary of common elements of planning procedures (for example building of effective communication, teamwork, working with risk, focusing on experience, body perception etc.). The qualitative research methods such as interviews, observation, analysis of text documents and analysis of the methods of planning were used as an instrument of investigation.
