Correspondence of Lidove noviny' editors Frantisek Selepa with Eduard Bass in 30th of 20th Century

Abstract:

V této práci pod názvem Korespondence redaktorů Lidových novin Františka Šelepy s Eduardem Bassem v polovině 30. let 20. století jsme na základě rozboru osobní korespondence mezi Františkem Šelepou a Eduardem Bassem, respektive Jaroslavem Stránským a Karlem Zdeňkem Klímou provedli sondu do poměrů v brněnské redakci Lidových novin v polovině 30. let 20. století. Ústřední postavou byl odpovědný redaktor František Šelepa, právě z jehož pozůstalosti pocházely také unikátní archivní materiály, které byly výzkumným pramenem této práce. Důkladným studiem archiválií byly poměry v brněnské redakci Lidových novin v polovině 30. let 20. století nahlíženy z několika úhlů. V první rovině byly na základě personální, finanční a redakční situace sledovány tamější poměry. Ze zkoumané korespondence tak především vyplynulo, že brněnská redakce Lidových novin nebyla v polovině 30. let 20. století personálně stabilizovaná, ani dostatečně početná. S tímto zjištěním zřejmě přímo souvisí i další závěr, kterým konstatujeme, že platové podmínky brněnských redaktorů nebyly nijak uspokojivé. Třetím zjištěním je skutečnost, že i přes uvedené těžkosti si brněnská redakce Lidových novin udržela i v polovině 30. let 20. století vysokou žurnalistickou úroveň. V druhé rovině jsme pak detailně prozkoumali osobní i pracovní postavení ústřední osobnosti zkoumané korespondence, kterým byl František Šelepa, odpovědný redaktor brněnské redakce Lidových novin v polovině 30. let 20. století. Ze studovaného materiálu vyplynulo, že Šelepa byl komplikovaná osobnost, jehož pracovní život byl na jedné straně silně ovlivněn jeho osobními, především zdravotními a finančními, problémy. Na straně druhé to pak byl právě František Šelepa, který odchodem Arnošta Heichricha z čela listu a přesunem šéfredaktora Lidových novin do Prahy, ztratil nejvíce ze všech členů redakce.

Abstract:

In this thesis named Correspondence of Lidove noviny´editors Frantisek Selepa with Eduard Bass in middle of 30th of 20th Century on a base of correspondence of Frantisek Selepa and Eduard Bass, Jaroslav Stransky and Karel Zdenek Kima we made a probe to the conditions of Lidove noviny Brno´office in 30th of 20th Century. Lidove noviny´ responsible editor in Brno Frantisek Selepa, whose legacy has offered unique archive documents which became our tuitional sources, has occupied central position of tjid thesis. Through precise study of archive letters was organization of work in Lidove noviny Brno´office in 30th of 20th Century viewed on a few sites. From the first point of view were conditions in Lidove noviny Brno´office in 30th of 20th Century studied through personal, financial and editional background. Thanks to studied correspondence we can conclude that Lidove noviny Brno´office wasn´t personally stabilized in the middle of 30th of 20th Century and didn´t employ enought experienced journalists. There is one more conclusion directly connected with this and it´s unsatisfied level of journalists´ wages. In spite of both facts has Lidove noviny Brno´newsroom remained highly professional even in 30th of 20th Century. From the second point of view we´ve searched private and professional position of main person of researched letters, whom was Frantisek Selepa, responsible editor in Lidove noviny Brno´office in 30th of 20th Century. Thanks to studied correspondence we can conclude that Mr. Selepa was complicated personality whose professional life was influenced a lot by his health and private financial problems. Our second conclusion says that Frantisek Selepa was personally interferred with Arnost Heinrich death and dislocation of headquarter to Prag the most of all members of Lidove novin´ journalists.
