The impact of migration on Jordan's economy

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá dopady imigrace na ekonomiku Jordánska. Zaměřuje se na migrační proudy v Jordánsku, rozdílným pohledem na imigranty z Palestiny, Iráku a Sýrie a jejich integraci na jordánský trh práce. Práce se skládá ze 3 kapitol. V teoretické částí se práce věnuje obecně migraci, jaké jsou její dopady na přijímací a zdrojovou zemi. Dále se zaměřuje na migrační proudy v Jordánsku, na věkovou strukturu obyvatelstva a migranty v zemi. V praktické části jsou rozebrány určité ekonomické veličiny a jejich vývoj v čase. Součástí tohoto oddílu jsou také grafy a tabulky.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis examines the effects of immigration on the economy of Jordan. It focuses on migration flows in Jordan, the different perspectives on immigrants from Palestine, Iraq and Syria and their integration into the Jordanian labour market. The thesis consists of 3 chapters. In the theoretical part, the thesis discusses migration in general and what are its effects on the receiving and source countries. It also focuses on migration flows in Jordan, the age structure of the population and migrants in the country. The practical part discusses certain economic variables and their evolution over time. Graphs and tables are also included in this section.
