Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá reprezentací uměleckých identit v kontextu časopisecké produkce. Zaměřuje se na reprezentace identity umělce-hudebníka v muzikologickém časopise Hudební rozhledy. Cílem práce je nastínit, jakým způsobem časopis v současné době identitu umělce zobrazuje, a také na konkrétním příkladě hudebníků (hudebních interpretů, skladatelů a dirigentů) ukázat, v čem je identita umělce výjimečná (odlišná) od identity ostatních („normálních“) lidí. Práce je rozdělena na dvě základní části – část teoretickou a část analytickou. V teoretické části jsou rozebrány nejdůležitější sociální přístupy k teorii identity obecně (Jenkins, Giddens, Berger-Luckmann) a představeny základní koncepty umělce (Bourdieu, Becker, Griff, Zolberg). Druhá (analytická) část práce se věnuje výsledkům analýzy rozhovorů otištěných v časopise Hudební rozhledy za posledních pět let (období leden 2005 – listopad 2009). Analýza je zaměřena na typizaci, sleduje, jak je identita umělce zobrazována a jaké významy jsou s ní spojeny. Pět typů uměleckých identit, definovaných na základě tezí Howarda Beckera, Masona Griffa a Very Zolberg, je konfrontováno ve čtyřech dimenzích: 1. Biografie a životní styl. 2. Postavení ve společnosti. 3. Konformismus. 4. Vztah k umělecké práci, dílo a jeho smysl. Pozorované tendence, týkající se reprezentací hudebníků v analyzovaném časopise, jsou v závěru práce vztaženy k reprezentacím uměleckých identit obecně.

Abstract:

The bachelor work deals with representation of artistic identities in magazine production context. It focuses on representation of an identity of an artist – musician in musicological magazine Hudební rozhledy. The aim of the work is to describe how the magazine presents an identity of an artist nowadays and using particular examples it shows in what ways the identity of an artist is different from an identity of other (“normal”) people. The work is divided onto two parts – theoretical part and analytical part. In the first part we analyse the most important social approaches to the theory of identity in general (Jenkins, Giddens, Berger-Luckmann) and we present the basic concepts of an artist (Bourdieu, Becker, Griff, Zolberg). The second part is concerned with the results of the interview analysis which have been published in the magazine Hudební rozhledy in recent five years (January 2005 – November 2009). The analysis is focused on typification and it studies how the identity of an artist is represented and which meanings are associated with it. Five types of artistic identities defined on Howard Becker, Mason Griff and Very Zolberg thesis are confronted with four dimensions: 1. Biography and lifestyle. 2. Social status. 3. Conformism. 4. Relation to artistic work, the piece of work and its purpose. In the conclusion of this work observed tendencies regarding the representations of musicians in the analysed magazine are related to the representations of artistic identities in general.
