The Approach of Social Workers towards the Supervision of Selected Organizations

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá postojem sociálních pracovníků pracujících na orgánu sociálně – právní ochraně dětí k supervizi. V současné době se supervize zdá být častým nástrojem k důslednému vykonávání profese sociálního pracovníka. Prostřednictvím práce se proto snažím odhalit postoje sociálních pracovníků k supervizi. Zajímá mě, zda si sociální pracovníci uvědomují důležitost supervize a zda ji plně využívají při vykonávání profese v sociální oblasti. Na základě zvoleného tématu práce definuji supervizi, zabývám se jejími druhy, cíli, funkcemi a také jednotlivými aktéry supervize. Část práce je věnována také vymezení pojmům, jako je sociální práce, sociální pracovník, sociální služby či sociálně – právní ochrana dětí. Z důvodu zkoumání postojů sociálních pracovníků rozebírám také kognitivní, emocionální a konativní dimenzi postoje. Pro zkoumání postojů byla zvolena kvalitativní výzkumná strategie a technika polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Rozhovory byly uskutečněny se šesti sociálními pracovníky ve dvou orgánech sociálně – právní ochrany dětí. Získaná data byla následně interpretována za využití otevřeného a tematického kódování, které je vhodné v případě popsání různých pohledů na určitý jev. Závěrem popisuji současné pozitivní postoje sociálních pracovníků za pomocí jednotlivých dimenzí postoje.

Abstract:

The Bachelor’s work deals with the approach of social workers, active in social/legal security of children to protect those harmed by supervision. Nowadays supervision seems to be a harmless tool impersonating scrupulous approach of social care workers. By means of this work, I try to point out to the particular attitudes of social workers to supervision. The attention is paid to the fact whether they realize the importance of supervision and make use of it fully and properly without misusing any competence. Based on the topic I bring in the definition of the „supervision“, further I deal with its particular kinds, goals, features and the persons intervening the process of supervision. A part of this paper is dedicated to the specification of these notions e.g. social work, social worker, social care and social/legal security of children. Along with the depiction of a cognitive, emotional and behavioral aspect of the approach of social care professionals. For the realization of that, there is used a qualitative explorative strategy and a technique of semi structured interview. The above-mentioned interviews were made with six social workers in two different facilities of social-legal security of children. The data obtained was subsequently interpreted by the use of „an open topical coding“ indispensable for a description when different views of a particular phenomenon are present. At the end I give account of a current positive approach of social workers.
