Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou evropské regulace názvu pomazánkového másla a způsobem, jakým je toto téma prezentováno v českých nejčtenějších tištěných médiích. V teoretické části jsme se zaměřili na koncepty nacionalismus, gastronacionalismsu a politického konfliktu a jejich významu pro formování národní identity, přičemž jsme poskytli přehled o tom, jak tradiční potraviny mohou sloužit jako symboly kulturního dědictví a identitární kontinuity. V analytické části byla provedena kvantitativní mediální analýza, která odhalila polarizaci veřejného a mediálního diskursu týkajícího se evropské regulace názvu pomazánkového másla. Zjištění ukázala, že diskuse v médiích nejen odráží rozdělení ve společnosti, ale také formuje veřejný názor na evropské regulace a Evropskou unii jako takovou. Práce zdůrazňuje důležitost mediálního pokrytí tohoto tématu a jeho vliv na veřejné vnímání regulací. Práce také zároveň identifikuje potřebu širšího a hlubšího výzkumu v této oblasti. Závěry práce přispívají k obohacení debaty o vztahu mezi národní identitou a evropskými regulacemi a nabízejí podněty pro další výzkum v kontextu rostoucí integrace a globalizace.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the analysis of the European regulation of the „pomazánkové máslo“ and the way this topic is presented in the Czech most read media. In the theoretical part, we focused on the concepts of nationalism, gastronationalism and political conflict and their importance for the formation of national identity, providing an overview of how traditional foods can serve as symbols of cultural heritage and identity continuity. In the analytical part, a quantitative media analysis was carried out, revealing the polarisation of public and media discourse regarding the European regulation of the name of „pomazánkové máslo“. The findings showed that the media discourse not only reflects divisions in society but also shapes public opinion on European regulation and European union as an institution. The thesis highlights the importance of media coverage of this issue and its influence on public perception of regulation. The thesis also identifies the need for broader and deeper research in this area. The conclusions of the thesis contribute to enrich the debate on the relationship between national identity and European regulations and offer suggestions for further research in the context of increasing integration and globalisation.
