The work concerns with the stylistic and characterization of female characters in two novels by Nigerian writer Chinua Achebe on the background of historical and cultural development of Nigeria. The novel Things Fall Apart is Achebe´s first work, meanwhile Anthills of the Savannah is his last one. There is 30 years gap between these two works. Práce se zabývá stylem a charakteristikou znázornění ženských postav ve dvou románech nigerijského spisovatele Chinua Achebe na pozadí historického a kulturního vývoje Nigérie.
