Radio and Radio Technical Equipment of the Mi-171Š Helicopter for Search and Rescue Service

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou rádiového a radiotechnického vybavení vrtulníku Mi-171Š používaného pro účely Search and Rescue (SAR). V rámci teoretické části tato diplomová práce zprvu pojednává o právních aspektech této problematiky, zákonech, vyhláškách a dalších dokumentech týkajících se SAR, Armády České republiky (AČR) a samotného rádiového a radiotechnického vybavení. Další kapitola je věnována terminologii a názvosloví z této oblasti a také historii, a to jak systému COSPAS-SARSAT, tak služby SAR. Další část teoretické části se zaměřuje na službu SAR a to obecně, ale také přímo na řešenou část SAR Morava, pro kterou jsou vyčleněny právě vrtulníky Mi-171Š. V poslední části se teoretická část zabývá technickým vybavením v rámci služby SAR a především COSPAS-SARSAT. Praktická část této diplomové práce se zaměřuje zpočátku na základní informace o samotném vrtulníku Mi-171Š, jeho elektrické síti a rádiovém a radiotechnickém vybavení spolu s jeho kritickým posouzením, přičemž dojde ke zjištění, že stávající vybavení není dostatečné pro efektivní činnost SAR Morava. Po tomto zjištění bylo dosaženo návrhu modernizace radiového a radiotechnického vybavení, který se nachází v poslední části praktické části diplomové práce. Začínajíc představením variant modernizace rádiového a radiotechnického vybavení, jejich vyhodnocení expertním týmem, výběrem nejvhodnější varianty, Cost-Benefit analýzou končíc samotným návrhem zástavby vybrané modernizace.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of radio and radiotechnical equipment in the Mi-171Š helicopter used for SAR purposes. The theoretical part of this thesis initially discusses the legal aspects of this issue, laws, regulations, and other documents related to SAR, the Czech Republic Army, and the radio and radiotechnical equipment itself. Another chapter is dedicated to the terminology and nomenclature in this field, as well as the history of the COSPAS-SARSAT system and the SAR service. The next part of the theoretical section focuses on the SAR service in general, as well as the specific part of SAR Morava, for which the Mi-171Š helicopters are allocated. The last part of the theoretical section deals with the technical equipment within the SAR service, especially COSPAS-SARSAT. The practical part of this thesis initially focuses on basic information about the Mi-171Š helicopter, its electrical system, and radio and radiotechnical equipment, along with its critical assessment, leading to the finding that the existing equipment is not sufficient for the effective operation of SAR Morava. After this finding, a proposal for the modernization of the radio and radiotechnical equipment was developed, which is presented in the last part of the practical section of the thesis. This includes the introduction of modernization options for the radio and radiotechnical equipment, their evaluation by an expert team, selection of the most suitable option, cost-benefit analysis, and ending with the actual design of the selected modernization implementation.
