Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na rozsáhlou patnáctidílnou folkloristickou sbírku Český jih a Šumava v písni od Karla Weise. Rozebírá její hudební, literární i výtvarný obsah a zamýšlí se nad její koncepcí nejen jako komplexní národopisné encyklopedie jižních Čech, ale též jako uměleckého díla. The thesis focuses on the extensive fifteen-part folkloric collection Český jih a Šumava v písni (Czech South and Šumava in a song) by Karel Weis. The thesis analyzes the collection´s musical, literary and artistic content and considers its conception not only as a complex ethnographic encyclopedia of South Bohemia, but also as a work of art.
