Physiotherapy of people with scoliosis and scoliotic posture in equestrian sport

Abstract:

Úvod: Tématem mé bakalářské práce je Fyzioterapie osob se skoliózou a skoliotickým držením těla v jezdeckém sportu. Skolióza je progresivní onemocnění páteře, které se může vyvinout z vadného držení těla. Toto onemocnění se nejčastěji vyskytuje v dětském věku. Je to deformita páteře, která může vzniknout jako následek nekorigovaného vadného držení těla. Nejčastěji vzniká v období dospívání, kdy dochází k největší progresi růstu. V tomto období je také nejčastěji diagnostikována. U většiny pacientů je aplikována konzervativní léčba pomocí fyzioterapeutických metod a konceptů a kompenzačních pomůcek, ale u některých případů se musí přikročit k operativní léčbě. Cíl práce: Cílem bakalářské práce je přispět k řešení problematiky fyzioterapie osob se skoliózou a skoliotickým držením těla v jezdeckém sportu. Metodika: Hlavní část mé bakalářské práce popisuje kazuistiku klientky s juvenilní idiopatickou skoliózou. Fyzioterapeutická intervence trvala 14 týdnů a bylo provedeno 10 terapií. Při zahájení intervence byl proveden vstupní kineziologický rozbor, na jehož základě byl vytvořen krátkodobý fyzioterapeutický plán. V polovině intervence bylo provedeno kontrolní vyšetření. Při terapiích byly využity různé fyzioterapeutické metody a koncepty (DNS, ACT, Spirální stabilizace páteře, techniky měkkých tkání, senzomotorická stimulace a další) pro zmírnění projevů onemocnění. Před ukončením fyzioterapeutické intervence byl proveden výstupní kineziologický rozbor. Na základě jeho výsledků byl sestaven dlouhodobý fyzioterapeutický plán. Poté jsem porovnala výsledky vstupního a výstupního kineziologického rozboru. Výsledky: Došlo k mírnému zlepšení skoliózy a upravilo se držení těla. Dále se změnilo postavení pánve, upravilo se postavení ramen a lopatek do stejné výšky. Zlepšil se dechový stereotyp a zmírnily se projevy insuficience hlubokého stabilizačního systému. Závěry: V závěru své práce jsem zhodnotila dosažení cílů a úkolů bakalářské práce a zhodnotila vypracování bakalářské práce.

Abstract:

Introduction: The topic of this bachelor thesis is Physiotherapy of people with scoliosis and scoliotic posture in equestrian sport. Scoliosis is progressive disease of the spine, that can develop from poor posture, which most often occurs in childhood. It is a deformity of the spine that can occur as a result of uncorrected poor posture. It most often arises in the period leading to the greatest growth progress. During this period it is also most frequently diagnosed. In most patients, the conservative therapy is applied by using physioterapeutic methods and concepts and compensatory aids, but in some cases surgical treatment must be instituted. The objective: The goal of this thesis is to contribute solving the problem of physiotherapy of people with scoliosis and scoliotic posture in equestrian sport. Methodology: The main part of this bachelor thesis describes a case report of a client with juvenile idiopatic scoliosis. The physiotherapeutic intervention lasted 14 weeks and 10 therapies were performed. At the beginning of the intervention, an initial kinesiological analysis was performed and on the basis of which I created a short physiotherapy plan. In the middle of the intervetion the follow-up examination was performed. During the therapies the various physiotherapeutic methods and concepts (DNS, ACT, Spiral stabilization of the spine, soft tissue techniques, sensomotoric stimulation and others) were used to alleviate the manifestations of the disease. Before the end of the intervation, a final kinesiological analysis was performerd. Based on the results, a long-term physiotherapy plan was set up. I compared the results of the initial and final kinesiological analysis. Results: There was a slight improvement in scoliosis and an adjustment to posture. Furthermore, the position of the pelvis changed, the position of the arms and shoulder blades was adjusted to the same height. The respiratory stereotype has improved and the manifestations of the insufficiency of the deep stabilization system have been alleviated. Conclusions: At the end of this thesis I evaluated the achievement of the goals and tasks of the bachelor thesis and evaluated the elaboration of the bachelor thesis.
