The Proposal for Adjustment of Modus Company´s Export Strategy Due to Changes in Market Conditions of the EU and Other Countries

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je exportní strategie společnosti Modus a návrh na její úpravu. Modus, spol. s r.o. je jedním z nejvýznamnějších producentů osvětlovací techniky v České republice a patří k významným exportérům tohoto průmyslového odvětví. Práce je zaměřena na strategii exportu, která je součástí podnikové strategie a na měnící se podmínky na světových trzích v důsledcích globalizace a světové finanční krize. Praktická část této práce se zabývá analýzou šesti zemí, které jsou zkoumány pomocí zvolencý klíčových faktorů. Ve vybraných zemích je analyzována stávající politická a ekonomická situace. Práce řeší konkurenceschopnost společnosti Modus na vybraném trhu, velikost trhu, nutnost adaptace produktu, náklady na dopravu do dané země a v neposlední řadě také obchodně-politické bariéry. Na základě výsledků této analýzy je navržena změna exportní strategie společnosti Modus.

Abstract:

The object of this thesis is the Modus company's export strategy and a proposal to arrangement. Modus Co., Ltd. is one of the leading producers of lighting technology in the Czech Republic and one of the main exporters in this industry. The thesis is focused on the business strategy and the changing terms in the world's market consequences of the globalization and the global financial crisis. The practical part of this thesis deals with the analysis of six countries which are examining through using key factors. In these selected countries is analyzed the current political and economic situation. The thesis deals with competitiveness of Modus company in the chosen market, market size, the essential for adaptation of the product, the cost of transportation to the selected country and last but not least, the business and political barriers. Based on the results of this analysis the change of the Modus company´s export strategy is recommended.
