Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to discuss the analysis of G. Bush?s and B. Obama?s political discourse. This work primarily draws on the knowledge of cognitive linguistics, it studies the ways B. Obama and G. Bush use to construct their utterance in order to set up the cognitives frames and promote their own policy. Cílem této diplomové práce je zaměřit se na to, jak se jazyk a prostředky, které mluvčí volí pro komunikaci svého záměru podílejí na utváření diskurzu demokratického a holistického (Barack Obama), nebo diskurzu mocenského (George Bush) se všemi aspekty a důsledky, které z této volby plynou.
