Occurrence of ancient coppice forests in the Oslava river basin

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývala výskytem starobylých výmladkových lesů v povodí řeky Oslavy. Konkrétně se jednalo o tři katastrální území (Čikov, Naloučany, Ocmanice) s celkovou výměrou 2 214,46 ha. Při terénním výzkumu byly zjištěny jednotlivé parametry porostů, které následně vedly k hodnocení jejich starobylosti a celkové významnosti. Rovněž byla zaznamenávána přítomnost samostatně stojících stromů výmladkového původu. Po ukončení terénních prací byly v programu ArcMap vytvořeny mapy, kde byly jednotlivé nalezené prvky zaznamenány. Bylo zjištěno, že v těchto třech katastrálních územích se vyskytují starobylé výmladkové lesy různé kvality (A1 – nejkvalitnější, C3 – nejméně kvalitní). V čikovském katastru se nacházelo 23 lokalit, tři z nich pařily do kategorie A, jedenáct spadalo do kategorie B a devět do kategorie C. V naloučanském katastru byly nalezeny tři lokality, všechny v kategorii B. Konečně v ocmanickém katastru se nacházelo pět lokalit starobylých výmladkových lesů, z nich čtyři patří do kategorie B a jedna do kategorie C.

Abstract:

This work dealt with the occurrence of ancient coppice forests in the Oslava river basin. Specifically, three cadastral areas were included (Čikov, Naloučany, Ocmanice) with the total area of 2,214.46 ha. During the field research, the individual parameters of the stands were ascertained, which subsequently led to the evaluation of their antiquity and overall significance. The presence of free-standing trees of coppice origin was also recorded. After finishing the field research, maps were created in the ArcMap program, where the individually found elements were recorded. It was ascertained that in these three cadastral areas there are ancient coppice forests of various quality (A1 - the highest quality, C3 - the lowest quality). There were 23 localities in the Čikov cadastre, three of them belonging to category A, eleven to category B and nine to category C. Three localities were found in the Naloučany cadaster, all in category B. Finally, there were five localities of ancient coppice forests, four of which fell into category B and one in C.
