Current status of ventilation/perfusion scintigraphy in diagnosis of pulmonary embolism

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na téma "Současné postavení perfuzně-ventilační plicní scintigrafie v diagnostice plicní embolizace". V daném tématu se zaobírám charakteristikou plicní embolie, příznaky, jejím vznikem a léčbou. Hlavním tématem je vyšetření nesoucí název Perfuzní a ventilační scintigrafie plic, která se provádí na oddělení nukleární medicíny. Dále přibližuji ostatní metody, kterými lze embolizaci plic diagnostikovat, jako je například CT angiografie, vyšetření prostým RTG snímkem, digitální substrakční angiografií aj. V poslední části bakalářské práce se věnuji rozdílům ve vyšetření CT angiografie a již zmiňované perfuzně ventilační scintigrafii plic, kde řeším výhody, nevýhody, kontraindikace a další problematiky ohledně těchto dvou vyšetření.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the topic of "Current position of perfusion-ventilation pulmonary scintigraphy in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism". In the thesis I focused on the characteristics of pulmonary embolism, its symptoms, origin and treatment. The main topic is an examination called ventilation/perfusion scintigraphy of the lungs, which is performed in the department of Nuclear Medicine. Next, other methods by which lung embolization can be diagnosed are described, such as CT angiography, X-ray examination, digital subtraction angiography, etc. In the last part of my bachelor thesis I address the differences in examination of CT angiography and already mentioned pulmonary perfusion-ventilation scintigraphy, where I discuss advantages, disadvantages, contraindications and other issues related to these two examinations.
