Animated music video

Abstract:

Témou diplomovej práce je animovaný videoklip. Práca pozostáva zo štyroch hlavných kapitol - historický vývoj animovaného videoklipu, Animované hudobné videoklipy v súčasnosti a ich vplyv na adolescentov, Animovaný videoklip na Slovensku, Profily režisérov Mariána Vredíka a Erika Sikoru. V prvej kapitole chcem skúmať, aké podmienky museli byť splnené pre vznik animovaného videoklipu, analyzovať historický vývoj animovaného klipu od konca 19. storočia až po súčasnosť. Predstavím najvýznamnejšie kapely a interpretov, ktorých animované klipy sa stali historickými miľníkmi a neskôr formovali ďalšie generácie ich nasledovníkov. V druhej kapitole popíšem, ako prezentačné techniky použité v animovaných videoklipoch potenciálne podporujú konzumné správanie adolescentov a mladých dospievajúcich ľudí, ktorí majú oproti starším ľuďom vyššiu tendenciu konzumovať produkty zobrazené vo videoklipoch. Budem sa venovať zaujímavému fenoménu, kedy adolescenti využívajú animované videoklipy ako nástroj kontrolovania nálady a emocionálnych stavov. Tretiu kapitolu venujem slovenskému animovanému klipu, rozoberiem tvorbu najvýznamnejších režisérov animovaných klipov a pokúsim sa odhadnúť, aká by mohla byť budúcnosť animovaného klipu na Slovensku. V poslednej kapitole predstavím dvojicu mladých autorov Mariána Vredíka a Erika Sikoru, ktorí sa dlhodobo venujú tvorbe animovaných klipov.

Abstract:

The topic of the diploma thesis is an animated music video. The thesis consists of four main chapters - the historical development of animated music videos, animated music videos in the present and their influence on adolescents, animated music videos in Slovakia, and profiles of directors Marián Vredík and Erik Sikor. In the first chapter, I want to examine which conditions had to be met for the establishment of animated music videos and to analyze the historical development of the animated music videos from the late 19th century to the present. I will introduce the most important bands and performers whose animated clips have become historical milestones and later formed next generation of their followers. In the second chapter I describe how the presentation techniques used in animated music videos potentially support the consumption behavior of adolescents and young teenagers who have a higher tendency to consume products displayed in music videos than older people. I will focus on an interesting phenomenon where adolescents use animated video clips as a tool for controlling mood and emotional states. The third chapter is dedicated to the Slovak animated music videos, I will discuss the work of the most prominent animated clips directors and try to guess what the future of the animated clip in Slovakia might be. In the last chapter, I will present a pair of young authors - Marián Vredík and Erik Sikor, who have been doing animated clips for a long time.
