Formulation and study of protective properties of coatings containing zinc, conductive polymers and selected sulphides and oxides

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá studiem vlivu struktury, složení a koncentrace organických a anorganických pigmentů s obsahem zinku, vodivých polymerů a vybraných sulfidů a oxidů na antikorozní a fyzikální vlastnosti organických povlaků na bázi epoxyesterové pryskyřice. Byly porovnávány vlastnosti nátěrových hmot s obsahem nově syntetizovaného organického pigmentu - polyanilin. Zinkem pigmentované nátěrové hmoty obsahující organický pigment byly porovnávány s nátěrovými hmotami, které byly pigmentované anorganickými pigmenty, jednalo se o sulfid zinečnatý, oxid zinečnatý, sulfid molybdeničitý a oxid molybdenový. U všech pigmentů byla stanovena jejich hustota a olejové číslo, z nichž byla následně vypočtena kritická objemová koncentrace, také bylo sledováno pH a měrná elektrická vodivost roztoků pigmentů v závislosti na čase. Organické povlaky byly aplikovány na skleněné a ocelové panely. Následně u nich byly testovány jejich fyzikálně - mechanické vlastnosti, jako je odolnost organického povlaků vůči ohybu, úderu, vrypu, hloubení a byla také stanovena přilnavost organického povlaku mřížkovou metodou. Ocelové panely, opatřeny organickými povlaky, byly také podrobeny zrychleným korozním zkouškám, při nichž byla sledována jejich antikorozní účinnost. Organické povlaky byly vystaveny i vlivu nepřímých korozních zkoušek, jako je elektrochemické měření lineární polarizace a stanovení odolnosti vůči vodnému roztoku elektrolytu v závislosti na pH.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the study of the influence of the structure, composition and concentration of organic and inorganic pigments containing zinc, conductive polymers and selected sulphides and oxides on the anticorrosive and physical properties of organic coatings based on epoxy ester resin. The properties of coatings containing a newly synthesized organic pigment, polyaniline, was compared. Coatings containing organic pigment were compared with coatings that were pigmented with inorganic pigments, these were zinc sulfide, zinc oxide, molybdenum sulfide and molybdenum oxide. For all pigments, their density and oil number were determined, from which the critical bulk concentration was then calculated, the pH and specific electrical conductivity of the pigment solutions were also monitored as a function of time. Organic coatings were applied to glass and steel panels. Subsequently, their physical and mechanical properties such as the resistance of the organic coatings to bending, impact, indentation, pitting were tested, and the adhesion of the organic coating was also determined by the grid method. The steel panels, coated with organic coatings, were also subjected to accelerated corrosion tests to observe their anti-corrosion performance. The organic coatings were also subjected to indirect corrosion tests, such as electrochemical measurements of linear polarization and pH-dependent resistance to aqueous electrolyte solution.
