Analysis of financial literacy of seniors in elderly care homes in the Usti Region

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce "Analýza finanční gramotnosti seniorů v domovech pro seniory v Ústeckém kraji" je zjištění úrovně finanční gramotnosti seniorů v domovech pro seniory, jak je uvedeno již v názvu samotné práce. Teoretická část této práce se bude zabývat terminologií dané problematiky, která zahrne finanční gramotnost jako obecné téma, dále pak determinuje domov pro seniory a seniory samotné. V neposlední řadě spojí tyto pojmy v jeden celek a vytvoří charakteristiku finanční gramotnosti seniorů. Empirická část bude zahrnovat popis tvorby dotazníku pro výzkumné šetření, vlastní výzkum a prezentaci výsledků dotazníkového šetření, které bude prováděno v domovech pro seniory v Ústeckém kraji. Práce bude zakončena zjištěními a předmětným výzkumem podloženým problémovými znalostními a kompetenčními okruhy, které budou doporučeny jako základní témata pro další edukaci seniorů - v přiměřeně vhodně redukovaném obsahu upraveném pro tuto cílovou skupinu.

Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor thesis "Analysis of financial literacy of seniors in elderly care homes in the Ústí region" is to determine the level of financial literacy of seniors in elderly care homes, as stated in the title of the Bachelor thesis itself. The theoretical part of this work will deal with the terminology of the issue, which includes financial literacy as a general topic, then determines the home for seniors and seniors themselves. Finally, it combines these concepts into one whole and creates a characteristic of financial literacy of seniors. The research part will include a description of the creation of questionnaire for the research survey, the research itself and presentation of the results of the questionnaire survey, which will be held in elderly care homes in the Ústí nad Labem region. The work will end with findings and research based on problematic knowledge and competence areas, which will be recommended as basic topics for further education of seniors - in a reasonable and reduced content adapted to this target group.
